Fried Tofu with Strawberry and Pear


2 egg tofu

1/2 pear

1/3 for each colour assorted bell pepper

1 egg

1/2 tsp chicken powder

2 tbsp corn starch

little salt


6 strawberries

1/2 tsp sugar

2 tbsp Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce

1 tbsp Heinz Ketchup

2 tbsp water

little salt


- Rinse the strawberries. Add 1/3 cup of water and 1/2 tsp of sugar and put them all in a blender to make strawberry puree.

- Cut bell peppers and pear into pieces and blanch them in boiling water. Cut each egg tofu into 6 pieces then set them aside.

- Mix the remaining ingredients then add egg tofu in the mixture.

- Deep fry egg tofu until golden brown or pan fry them for 5 to 8 minutes.

- Lastly, cook the strawberry puree with the remaining seasonings and bring to the boil. Put in egg tofu, pears, bell peppers and stry-fry them until the sauce reduces.
